Jeram Yunghun Kang tells his personal and disturbing story of coming out as gay in the South Korean army, and discusses the institutional homophobia that still criminalises gay men in the military today.
Jeram is a London based artist who earlier this year produced an art installation and book, ‘You Come In, I Come Out’ based on his experiences in the South Korean army. Copies of his book will be available to buy at the event. He is currently working on another story-telling arts project, with Yemeni refugees on his native Jeju Island.
SOAS Korean Environmental & Social Justice Society is proud to host this event. Please attend, invite and share the Facebook event.
