An event organised by the University of Westminster Korean Culture Society featuring two very good friends of LKL. Well worth a trip to Harrow.
Voices: Women in Korean cinema
Monday 4 March 2019, 04:30 – 07:30 pm
Auditorium | University of Westminster Harrow campus | Watford Road | Northwick Park Roundabout | Harrow | Middx HA1 3TP
Booking essential via Eventbrite
Join us for a discussion on the voices of women in Korean cinema and society: From films to female directors, Dr Colette Balmain will take us through the struggles and wins of female directors in a men dominated cinema scene while Paul Quinn will speak on the subject of the depiction of women in Korean cinema prior to and post the Korean film SINGLES (Dir Kwon Chil-in, 2003), followed by a screening of the film itself at 5:30. We will end the event by socialising and exchanging thoughts
