Bandi – North Korea Through The Eyes of North Koreans

We introduce about Bandi book and poem, so how much do you know about Bandi? Please Join us on the 22nd October.

Bandi is just like Solzhenitsyn, the writer of the Soviet Union who talked about the resistance describing the life in the prison, made his work established in the western world, ‘Accusation’ of Bandi, the living writer of resistance in North Korea, is waiting for advancing into the world to eliminate darkness in his country as a beautiful glow-worm.

Even today, Bandi would raise the tip of his writing brush against communism longing for the day he could write as much as he could in complete freedom”

Fiction and poetry from inside North Korea. ‘Bandi’ (meaning Firefly) is the pen-name of a writer whose works parody and criticise the oppressive regime he lives under.

Jihyun Park from Connect North Korea, and two other refugees from North Korea, will discuss their own experiences of life under the secretive and brutal regime.
