Join Julia Mellor of The Sool Company in The Apartment at The Hoxton Shoreditch for a unique experience to discover Korean traditional alcohol known as ‘Sool’. Learn how to make makgeolli, taste artisanal Korean rice wines, enjoy an exclusive cocktail, and take home your own batch of brew to ferment at home!

At the 3pm – 5pm session, guests will be treated to tasters from OH GEE – an award-winning Korean Fried Chicken pop-up at Hox Shoreditch, from Chef Byung Tae Ahn – founder of 101 Chicken and Grand Champion of the Netflix hit show K-Chicken War. All guests will also receive an exclusive 25% off to use at the pop-up until end of year.

Julia Mellor, Sool Specialist

Julia is the first international specialist in Korean traditional alcohol and the founder of The Sool Company. She has over 13 years of industry experience and has been teaching makgeolli brewing to enthusiasts worldwide. She is passionate about spreading the joys of Korean alcohol, and loves to create fun experiences for the sool curious!
