To celebrate the West End premiere of the triple award-winning musical Swag Age: Shout Out, Joseon!, a special talk event with the creative team, along with highlight screenings, will be held at the Korean Cultural Centre.

Set in a fictional Joseon where sijo (a poetic form) was forbidden, this work tells the story of brave people who cried out for freedom against an absurd world. Blending the traditional genre of sijo with rap and hip-hop, its original staging earned multi-awards at the 5th Korea Musical Awards (2021), including Best Musical, Best New Actor, and Best Choreography.
Swag Age in Concert, a 60 minute highlight version of the original production, will make its West End debut at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on Monday September 8, and ahead of the performance, a special talk event will be held at the Korean Cultural Centre at 2.30pm on Sunday 7 September. This event will feature members of the creative team, offering insights into the making of the production, along with screenings of highlight clips and musical numbers.
This West End performance and talk event will be a meaningful opportunity to showcase the originality and vibrancy of Korean musical theatre to a global audience.
