It’s over ten years since Rejina Pyo came to our attention at a fashion exhibition at the Korean Cultural Centre. By that time, having received her MA at Central Saint Martins in 2011, she had already launched her own fashion brand (2013) and had some of her designs collected by a Belgian museum. She opened her store at the north end of Golden Square in Soho in 2022. Now her latest collection is accessible more widely via a collaboration with the John Lewis department store chain.
John Lewis comments as follows:
The new and exclusive collaboration with designer Rejina Pyo offers John Lewis customers a collection of elevated wardrobe staples for autumn. The partnership unites a strong sense of British design, blending the brands’ shared love of classic, timeless style. The collection features timeless investment pieces designed for the modern woman. Rejina draws inspiration from art and culture, which is distilled into each piece through sculptural silhouettes, unconventional textures, and a distinct approach to colour. With a strong emphasis on quality and sustainability, the collection spans women’s clothing, handbags, and accessories, creating a fluid wardrobe that moves seamlessly from city to country life.
Rejina Pyo responds:
We are delighted to launch our exclusive collaboration with John Lewis — a 34 piece capsule that celebrates individuality, timeless elegance, and the art of everyday dressing.
Comprising outerwear, dresses, knitwear, separates and accessories, the collection brings together a classic British aesthetic with Korean modernity. Combining utilitarian city style with feminine countryside simplicity, it creates a capsule that is elevated, effortless, and designed to be lived in season after season.
“We’ve designed this collection for women who value thoughtful design and everyday versatility. Each piece feels modern yet practical for real life. I wanted to take the high-quality wardrobe staples John Lewis is known for and reimagine them through the Rejina Pyo lens. The collection is made to be lived in, loved, and worn again and again.”
