Introduction by Rt Rev Rt Hon Rowan Williams, Master of Magdalene College and former Archbishop of CanterburyOther speakers include Dr James Hoare, former diplomat who set up the British Embassy in Pyongyang; Colin McCulloch, who has lectured at PUST for the last five years; a representative of DULA, an organisation working with people in the DPRK who have disabilities; Theo Clement, a PhD scholar at the University of Vienna and part-time lecturer at PUST, on Special Economic Zones; Ian Bennett of the Choson Exchange, which facilitates business training in the DPRK.
The overall aim of the day is to aid understanding of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea and to explore the value of engagement.
We hope participants will also gain a greater knowledge of the work of PUST and other projects in the DPRK.
The cost for the day, including coffee and lunch, is £25 per person.
