It’s a sort of FTA for indie musician blogs, and it works like this.
It’s all a great idea originating from The Pop Cop, and currently the pact consists of 21 fine music blogs from all over the world. Each month every blog selects a song from their own region to be posted on every participating blog, making it a great opportunity to get to know more great music while at the same time shining a little light on a Korean artist particularly worthy of world wide recognition.
Indieful ROK, the Korean indie music blog run by Anna (aka Helikoppter) and orienkorean, joined the project this month, which means that their post of 15 December contains not only an interesting track from Korea’s The Black Skirts but also great tunes from 20 other countries. Go pay them a visit. With a bit of luck, there will be a similar post on the 15th of every month from now on.
This gives me the opportunity to express my admiration for what Anna has been doing at Indieful ROK, tirelessly promoting interesting Korean music to an English-speaking audience – and selflessly contributing some of the fruits of her efforts to LKL in the shape of her fascinating interviews.
