Saharial gets it spot-on

Congratulations to LKL’s K-pop pundit Saharial for correctly gauging the mood of a nation. Back in early December nominated Shinhwa’s JunJin as Artiste of the Year.

“JunJin’s popularity soared with the launch of his solo album in May,” said Saharial. “Continued exposure on variety shows as participant and presenter along with promoting the song ‘Wa’ from his album allowed the viewing public to get to know him better and for him to demonstrate his humour, wit and character.”

MBC agreed with the assessment, yesterday awarding him the special prize “2008 Best Star” at their Broadcasting and Entertainment Award ceremony.

Jun Jun at the MBC awards

Tears streaming, JunJin expressed “This award is the first in 10 years. Joining broadcasting circuit for the first time in 10 years of my career life, I have a lot to learn about. Going through a rough time, I know that Shinhwa gave me the power to come this far”, JunJin wiped a tear.

Asked about her successful prediction yesterday, Saharial was also emotional. “I don’t deserve any credit,” she sobbed. “This award belongs to JunJin. He’s a sincere and hardworking man who always wants to learn to do better and exhausts himself to please fans and fulfil obligations.”

Well done Saharial, K-pop pundit of the year.
